Dr. Roy H. Hicks is a graduate student of the Eagle class in 1944 from Life Bible College in Los Angeles, California.  Following graduation he and Margaret Boling were married by Aimee Semple McPherson, Founder and President of International Church of the Foursquare Gospel.  They began their public ministry by pioneering a church in Coshocton Ohio.  Following this was sixty one successful years of pastoring and evangelistic outreaches in other nations.  Dr. Hicks was given the responsibility of directing the Foursquare Churches in the western provinces of Canada.  During this time he was asked to give a lectureship at Life Bible College in Los Angeles, California.  The subject was Faith and  during his studies and preparation he noted the different interpretations in Hebrew and Greek.  This left him with a life changing experience when discovering the difference between the Logos and Rhema words of God.   Dr. Hicks published the lectureship and named it Shield of Faith, Use It or Loose It.  He and his wife went on to publish seventeen other books.
